About Ryan

Welcome to my official blog!

My name is Ryan Arakaki.  I am an internet marketing and personal development coach, specializing in helping any individual in the network marketing industry take their business to the next level and way beyond using the latest and proven internet marketing techniques and strategies.

There are two basic ways to “market” (network-marketing) your business – Online and Offiline.  And in both Online and Offline marketing, you basically have your warm market (people you know), and your cold market (people you do not know yet, but soon will).  Both online and offline techniques work really well – IF you know what you are doing.  I have mentors who have taught me how to leverage both, and I have a passion for teaching others what I have learned.

I created this blog to give valuable training tips and strategies that work “today” in both the online and offline world, regardless if you had little to no success in your network marketing business before.  If you have a strong desire to become successful in your business, and are willing to learn things that you probably haven’t been taught before, I along with my personal mentors and trainers can help you.

But first, just a little bit about me…

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii along with my younger brother by my parents.  We were brought up really well, and my brother always had better grades than me in school.  Throughout high school, I was a B-C student.

After I graduated from high school, I went to a local community college for a couple years, and then to the University of Hawaii, where I really had no solid idea what I wanted to major in.  My ideas went from engineer, to teaching, to medical school (I’m so glad I didn’t do that), and several others which I really can’t remember well.  But finally, after seeing my cousin go to nursing school and volunteering at a hospital, I decided on nursing.

After taking some pre-requisite classes at the University of Hawaii for several years, I applied to a nursing school in Portland, Oregon.  I got accepted, and moved there.  I then graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Nursing and started working at a local hospital in Portland.

Job security, lifestyle and income as a registered nurse is all good, right?…

That’s exactly what most people think.  But actually, they really don’t know the truth.  Hey, nursing is a great profession, and it pays the bills.  But the money is still not enough at the end of the month, and happiness is about more than just money.  To me, it’s about having the time to enjoy doing what makes me happy as well.  Two big complaints at the nursing workplace ALL THE TIME is not wanting to be there (not having enough time to really do what they want, when they want) and not having enough money!  Trust me, I hear it ALL THE TIME!

This motivated me to start searching for a better way…

There are two types of people in this world – 1)  people who make things happen, and 2)  people who just watch things happen.  My reasons why, and my motivation for financial and time freedom pushed me to become the first type that makes things happen.  About 5 years into my nursing career, I started searching at ways to make extra income.  I looked and tried everything – online stores, ebay, affiliate marketing, forex, and real estate investing.  I bought training courses and went to seminars, but none of those really worked for me the way I wanted it.  There was no leverage, or the residual (ongoing) income I wanted.  I would rather work smart than hard.

Then I stumbled upon Network Marketing…

I was at an ebay seminar one day, and the speaker mentioned towards the end, a new company that had amazing products and a great opportunity to make income.  He sent me some information in my email that I checked out later that night.  That’s how I really got started in network marketing, and I’m still with that same company today.  I signed up with that person, who actually wasn’t even building the business.  So I was pretty much on my own from that point on.

I found that my path towards success in network marketing was not that easy…

I had mediocre success, and struggled at times in my network marketing business in the first 4 years.  Yes, I had a dream so big, that I kept on trying for 4 years.  Unfortunately, during those first 4 years, I had a lack of really good training, which kept me from having the type of success I wanted.  My sponsor who I signed up with couldn’t help me.  I had no personal support.  I had to learn this stuff all on my own.  Fortunately, there were several training and support systems created by some top leaders in the company that everyone could plug into.  BUT, they all taught the exact same thing:

  1. Make your list of everyone you know (friends, family, etc.)
  2. Contact all of them, and invite them to a home party or go over with some product
  3. Hope and pray that they will see the “vision” that you see
  4. Some will, most won’t, next!  (That’s one of of the BIG problems!)

I tried all those things above, and just like most people, had little to no success.  Here are the facts:

  1. Most of your warm market (friends, family), even though we love them, will NEVER be right for network marketing or make good entrepreneurs.  Most will never have the drive to work for themselves, no matter how simple it is.
  2. You need to learn how to “qualify” and talk to you warm market to help them see how your business and products can help them.  If you don’t get the right training on how to do this properly, you WILL chase all of them away! This happens way to often, due to the lack of proper training.
  3. You NEED to learn marketing to find “qualified” business-builders to work with you in your business.  You may find some business-builders in your warm market as well.

During those 4 years, and up until now, even though my business was slow, I was developing myself, learning, and developing my mindset for success…

Personal development is critical to your success in any network marketing business.  The reason is that, unlike a job, where you get told what to do and you have to do it, having your own network marketing business means you are working for yourself.  It can be easy to procrastinate and not do any work.  I was there.

Then I met my mentors, and learned how to really succeed in Network Marketing…

I tried many things over my first 4 years in my business, both offline and online.  But I never had the right mentors who actually were professionals in the network marketing industry who could train me in what really works in network marketing.  Here is one quick tip that will help your business – DO NOT pitch your products, company, or business opportuity up front! One of the biggest reasons why so much people fail in network marketing is:

Lack of “real” training!

Now I’m not going to go into how and what I learned from my mentors over here to help me get out of my 4-year rut in my business.  If you want to learn more, message me anytime.  But the things I’ve learned are stuff that most upline leaders or companies never teach their new distributors.  I’m so glad that I got to learn the secrets that most the top earners of every company implement into their businesses that were responsible for taking them to the top of their companies.  I’ll share some of those here in my blog.

To all your future success in this wonderful network marketing industry,
